A long day

Postby TMar » 11 Mar 2011 23:27

So, this morning I turned on the computer for a bit of checking, read about an earthquake in Japan and went to work. However, the rest of my household sat glued to the television all day.

Moshi moshi? *sigh*

Aaaah, nee-chan! Genki desu ka?
Image
Nao-chan, let's speak English so Cirrus can listen too. He's quite concerned. I'll put you on speakers.

Image
Hi everybody! We're fine and Granpa Kenshin just called and he and Granma are fine. Aunties are OK too, dojo still in once piece. Hi Cirrus! You're kawaiiiiiiiii!
Hi lady Nao! :)
Finally, I'm so glad!
Image
Oh lady Nao, weren't you scared when it happened? I would be! I've spent most of my life in the caverns wher my clan lives. Region has some seismic activity too.
I'm not scared. We're used to having earthquakes.
Image
Being inside a cave when the shaking happens is SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY SCARY!
Image
Is that the same dojo I wrecked over a century ago?
Saito-san, oh yeah. But they've made the place earthquake proof now. Has to be to use as a school building for martial arts. You won't notice there's been a hole where you messed up the infamous mr. Sagara. It's become an awesome place!
It didn't look like much last time I was there, heheh.
Well, it still looks the same, because it's a monument now. But the structure has been practically rebuilt a while ago. And we have many more students.

After a while chatting across the world:

It does make me wonder about my relatives.
Image
But it's not like I can just call them and say: "Moshi moshi, goodmorning, I'm your great great great grandfather and I'm worried about you all. Oh and by the way, these days I'm just two foot tall and made of resin." *sigh*

Image
Oh they might believe that. Japan is crowded with people like us these days. Resin BJD was invented in Japan!
Image
I suppose so. But they're probably mostly Volks-fans...
Image
They'll be like: "You, our famous Shinsengumi ancestor?? You're Chinese made! Get outta here!"

Hey, you can do a pretty good NY mafia accent ;)
Saito, dear, whatever they might think, the Chinese also make awesome BJD's and this sculpt suits you wonderfully! :D
Mother.... :)
Image
No, there must be some other silent way to find out if they're alive and well.
How about the internet? Most of them probably have a profile on facebook or some other online community. Once they can get online again, they'll probably post messages, start tweeting again. It may take some time, but you'll learn about them.
Mom is planning on some serious sewing tomorrow, so you'll have plenty of time to search the internet.
Image
They're out there and finding people is what I'm good at.
Image
I'm going to start right away. Find out where they live and such.

Good luck Saito-san. If you need any help, just ask.

Okay, what password to use for my facebook profile.... should use a hidden name too. The hunt is on!
