The Fundraiser

Postby TMar » 14 Apr 2011 21:52

So yesterday the Red Cross gathered about 6 million euro's to help out the people who have lost their homes and livelyhoods due to the earthquake/tsunami disaster. Since my resinkids feel connected to Japan for several reasons (family, descended family and being familiar with severe earth tremors while inside a dark cave), they really wanted to watch this.
It was nice though I'm not a fan of 'De Toppers'.

Very nice music :). So people organize these cultural events to raise money?
Oh sure. It helps people to get enthusiastic about a cause. A good mood opens people's wallets. Mom donated some at an aikido seminar with Kobayashi Shihan a couple of weeks ago.

It was great training too. Too bad Mom stayed off the mat sitting on a bench with her stress headache.
The opera singing lady looked very beautiful :)
Yes she did, even though she was wearing her kimono the wrong way.
Image
Apparently, not everybody is aware of the custom.
*Mom yelling:"Waaaah, singing zombies! OMG! Oh well, most people probably won't notice this somewhat painful error"*
Kimono are supposed to be worn left over right, men and women. The other way, you're a corpse. Burial custom.

Hmmmm, looking forward to watching the soccer match next.
I'll be turning in early. Who knows Beorn might wake up tonight and it's my turn to tend to him.
Don't worry, won't stay up very late.
Image
Hmm, lord Saito?
You might want to hold on to my hand for now, considering what's coming.

But these boys are singing with so much spirit. I love this song! But who's singing so high?
Gerard Joling. But personally, I really prefer hearing our Shinta ;)
:). He uses a similar techniqe I do, but tonight, he doesn't sound as strong as normally.
Anybody can have an off day, but the key is not to let it get to you :).

And what's more, most of these guys are gay.
YAY! :D

A while later:

Looks like they're just not matched against Ajax.

They could use some help. But I don't guess there's time to head over there, get switched with some Shimizu player, and kick some Dutch ass.
Heheh, we'd need to BEAM over.
Seriously, you watch too much Star Trek.
Oh well you're watching it too ;)
Image
Would be cool though, speeding through, evading all of those big folk.

You know, I can do gatotsu with my left leg too. Even the score in a couple of minutes, then we start playing ;)
Yeah :).
